A photo has been posted to Twitter tonight with what is supposedly the Google Pixel XL 2. We say itâs the XL 2 and not the smaller Pixel 2 given the relative size of the USB-C port. David Ruddock has been spot-on with leaks in the past(1,2), so weâd bet that this is very close to what weâll see from Google this year.
I have an exclusive photo of Googles upcoming low-bezel smartphone http://pic.twitter.com/2mkPtdXIu0

The device in the photo has a 2:1 display, but, weâll be honest: tho se bezels could be smaller. However, weâll give it a pass since the phone âeven has dual front-facing speakers wowâ. The photo looks like previously leaked renders and the front facing grilles remind us of those from the Motorola-made Nexus 6. Ruddock also mentions the phone has wireless charging and a headphone jack.
Ive heard theres even a headphone jack on this thing guys

The headphone jack is an important note since there have been rumors about Google dropping the jack from the Pixel for several months now. Perhaps Google had a change of heart. Besides, maybe the keeping the headphone jack is a great way to compete with the Apple, who credits âcourageâ as the reason behind its removal.
The Google Pixel is still far away, weâve still got LG, Samsung, and Apple before Googleâs time t o shine in or around October of this year.
Are you excited for the new Pixel devices? Cause we sure are.
P.S. We have to admit, the Hangouts icon sure threw us for a loop.
